O K, all you sangria lovers and creative mixers. Here’s your chance to win a trip for two to New Orleans.
Sandeman Porto wants your recipes for sangria made with Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto. Put on your thinking cap and your mixing gloves and come up with something special. Then submit your original recipe and a photo to the Sandeman Facebook page by June 1.
Sandeman will share the sangria recipes and photos on its Facebook page. A judging panel will select the winner based on taste, creativity/originality and how the ingredients represent the summer season. The recipe should be for a pitcher of sangria that includes a bottle of Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto. You’re on your own for whatever else you want to put in it.
Sangria is a great summer drink, usually filled with fresh fruit and a good red wine, such as port. I love just going to the farmer’s market and finding fresh, juicy fruit to toss in a nice sangria. Nothing better on a hot summer day. It makes a refreshing treat.
