I stopped by Saturday and of course the game was on and UGA was kicking butt. I had to get home though for the start of the Auburn game at 6PM so I was in a hurry. This was a speed-tasting for me. In a nutshell I liked every wine. The Firestone Cab and the Coup de Grace were fantastic. Average price on these wines were right at $20.
The Anne Amie Pinot Gris had more fruit than just about any Pinot Gris I’ve had. The Domaine Eden Chardonnay had some nice honeysuckle flavors. The cheeses were great as usual…got to head out. This was truly a speed tasting.

Domaine Eden Chardonnay 2013 | Santa Cruz Mountains, California
The full-bodied Estate Chardonnay displays fine underlying acidity and a long finish. Hints of cardamom, anise and hazelnut add interest to the core lemon, mineral flavors. Of all Mount Eden’s estate-grown wines, the Chardonnay is most in need of further bottle aging at release, requiring an additional two to four years to fully reveal its true character. Many vintages are still fresh and enjoyable after fifteen years, explaining why Mount Eden Estate Chardonnay is considered one of California’s longest-lived white wines. Website
