Some of the tasters from Friday afternoon
Some of the tasters from Friday afternoon

T he Vineyard was busy celebrating Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby this weekend. The wines were from Spain and South American but on Friday the beer was from   Mexico and on Saturday it was from Kentucky.
I actually stopped by both days. I liked the El Enemrgo Malbec which drank like a Cab.  The Arenal Cabernet Sauvignon had nice earthy flavors. I could sip on this for a wine.
On the beer side Friday I actually skipped a few and concentrated on the Victoria and the Bohemia, two I’ve never had before. They are typical Mexican  brews. I liked the Victoria and would enjoy it the same way I would enjoy a Yuengling.
But on Saturday Roger had three different Kentucky Bourbon Barrel brews. The first one was Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale. Whoa. I could drink a lot of this. It tastes like beer but I would possibly drink it more like I would a soft drink. I would have to watch myself. The

This is a popular choice for those who want to drink a couple beers while keeping a clear head.Victoria was produced for the first time in 1865. The brewery and brand were acquired by Grupo Modelo in 1935, making Victoria Mexico’s oldest beer brand. Victoria has been brewed consistently as a Vienna-style lager for 145 years. Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale | Kentucky
Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale is our take on a classic American style of beer. We took a cold-conditioned cream ale, brewed with a hint of flaked corn and bourbon vanilla beans, and aged it in freshly decanted bourbon barrels for a minimum of two months. Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale’s medium body and 5.5% ABV make it the perfect barrel-aged beer for an all day event. –From Website.
