Friday afternoon
I t was a busy weekend for the Vineyard. They originally had 3 tastings planned but the third one, on Sunday was canceled. On Friday they had their usual tasting Friday (but with some brews thrown in). On Saturday they had a special lineup of dog themed wines and beers for a “Whine and Cheese” tasting fundraiser (see the post for details). I dropped by and tried some of these most excellent wines. Duckhorn is always good. The Cosentino Cigar Zin had a nice earthy flavor to it. The Consento The Franc was a nice little wine. As for the Wyndridge lineup of brews. They all had the same mouthfeel, only the flavors changed. I liked the Barn Dog Porter but it was a bit drier and more bitter than I normally like.
