The Vineyard had their usual weekend tasting on Friday and Saturday and featured Waterbrook Vineyards. Waterbrook was founded in 1984 as Walla Walla’s fourth founded winery, Waterbrook is known for fruit-forward, food-friendly wines–primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. With more than 150 combined “Best Buys” and critical scores of 90 points or higher, Winemaker John Freeman works with our outstanding vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley and throughout the greater Columbia Valley. Freeman says, “This is what Washington tastes like.” Roger says these are a really good value.
The tasting was Friday from 4:30-6:30PM and on Saturday from 3 to 6PM.
Here was the line-up for the weekend:
Waterbrook Riesling
Waterbrook Pinot Gris
Waterbrook Sauvignon Blanc
Waterbrook Reserve Chardonnay
Waterbrook Cabernet Sauvignon
Waterbrook Merlot
These wines run $12 to $20 at the Waterbrook Winery. Roger will have them priced at $11.99 accept for the Reserve Chardonnay. The cost for the tasting will be $7 this week.
