T his sounded like a great tasting. We unfortunately couldn’t attend. We’ve had the Thorny Rose before. It’s a nice bold blend we like. Here’s the wine list. I do believe I will drop by and get a bottle of the White Splash and try it with shrimp and grits.

A beautiful blend of 54% Sauvignon Blanc, 36% Chardonnay and 10% Viognier. The freshness and herbal notes of the Sauvignon Blanc marries very well with the soft, smooth melon aspects of the Chardonnay. The Viognier contributes to an appealing floral aroma and round fruitiness. From one of the most distinguished and oldest wine farms in South Africa. (Refreshing acidity with a lingering finish. Concannon Crimson & Clover 2009 | Livermore, California
A full-bodied red blend of 50% Petite Sirah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah and 10% Zinfandel. Aromas of currant, clove, and vanilla lead into bright, fruit flavors of blackberry on the palate. Velvety texture and fruit-filled smooth finish. (Concannon has been a Petite Sirah pioneer and continues to be a Petite Sirah over-achiever.) Great match for steaks & burgers. BBQ.
