Here are the detailed wine notes:
Finca Venta D. Quijote Verdejo 2011
This delightful Spanish white suggests white peaches, honey, citrus.  It’s flavorful and zesty.  Fresh, crisp finish.  Verdejo is now becoming better know among American consumers. This one is a fine example and an inexpensive introduction to Verdejo.
From: La Tierra de Castilla, Spain
Winery: Finca Venta D. Quijote
Year: 2011
Goes with: Perfect for fresh fish. Creamy soups:  Buttenut Squash or broccoli or spinach. Chicken with herbs.  Cablanca Cheese.

Madame Fleur 365 2011
A fresh, lively rosé, well balanced, with big strawberry fruit aromas and flavors. Delightful for sipping and with many different foods.  Appetizers. One of our favorites.  Dale says it goes with practically everything; he & Sue have it often.

From: Languedoc, France
Winery: Madame Fleur 365
Year: 2011
Goes with: Appetizers with tapenade.  Mild Chicken Curry.  shrimp & Grits.

Bougrier Vouvray 2011
An excellent Chenin Blanc, this Vouvray offers full aromas of pear and green apple with notes of white peach, apricot and nectarine and the classic, distinctive mineral character (wet limestone) of Loire Vally wines.  Flavors suggest peach and nectarine with notes of pear and honeydew melon, almond & honey.
From: Loire Valley, France
Winery: Bougrier
Year: 2011
Goes with: Aperitif. Very food flexible.   Seafood, chicken.  Quiche lorraine.

Venta D. Quijote Tempranillo 2011
Lively fresh dark berry aromas and flavors. Well balanced with a long finish. Easy sipping—a good “quaffing” wine. And an easy price.  A beauty.
From: La Tierra de Castilla, Spain
Winery: Finca Venta D. Quijote
Year: 2011
Goes with: Sautéed beef or pork medallions. Pulled slow-cooked pork. Manchego cheese.

Peirano Estate “The Immortal Zin” Old Vine Zinfandel 2011
Engaging aromas of dark cherry, minerality and earthiness, with spicy notes. In the mouth there are sensations of juicy, sweet red cherry, strawberry with hints of cocoa and toast.  The texture is smooth and velvety with integrated tannins and a long finish.
From: Lodi, California
Winery: Peirano Estate
Year: 2011
Goes with: Short ribs braised in zinfandel. Lamb ke-bobs. Grilled mushrooms. Cheeses.

Prelius Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Suggests generous dark fruit, grilled herbs and spices. Prelius is a classy Cabernet Sauvignon from Maremma (an area of Tuscany now well-known for its Cabs, Merlots, and Super-Tuscan blends.) It offers currant, plum and berry notes on the nose and in the mouth.  Good varietal character, excellent balance and integrated tannins.
From: Maremma, Toscana, Italy
Winery: Prelius
Year: 2011
Goes with: Grilled steaks and burgers. Venison. Robust cheeses.
