Andrew pours at the white wine table
Andrew pours at the white wine table

N ice tasting trip around the world. We visited South Africa, Australia, Argentina, Italy and Spain with some old world style wines that were not over the top.
The Robert Oakley “Wild Oats” Chardonnay was very nice with a hint of oak that didn’t overpower the nice fruit flavors.
The Villa Campbello Chianti was a nice light bodied Chianti that would pair nicely with steaks and sausages. The Captivo Bonarda was very dry but had a mouthfeel that was enticing. I wish I could have safe a bit to try with the cheeses which were, as usual, great (Castello Havarti Dill, Clawson Cotswold and El Greco Manchego).
I spoke with Diana and Judy and they really liked the cheeses tonight. And we got to meet the new “cheese girl” Holly.
