W ine World featured some great little wines at their Third Thursday tasting. Wish we could have made it because I wanted to try that Firesteed Pinot Gris .

Nicolas Sauvignon Blanc Cotes De Gasconge | France
Bright floral nose Ripe peach, pear, and apple flavors, dry mineral finish Pairs well with chicken, cheese, yogurt, and creame fraiche.
Firesteed Pinot Gris | Willamette Valley, Oregon
Expressively aromatic, the wine’s Pear blossom and tropical fruit aromas precede flavors of zesty citrus and melon. Ravioli, Manicotti, Spicy Chicken Tacos. Website
Pellehaut Rosé | Cotes De Gascone, France
Eclectic blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat along with Syrah, Malbec and Merlot is a fresh, soft, caramel flavored wine. Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Mushroom Quiche.
Chateau La Graviere Rouge | Bordeaux, France
Nose of black currants and raspberries, low acid. Red fruit flavors, vanilla and oak hints, leather and oil. Braised Lamb, Beef Stew, Teriyaki Beef, Gorgonzola Cheese.
Tormaresca Primitivo | Salento, Italy
Intense ruby red color. Aromas of plums, and cherries with vanilla and chocolate. On the palate, complex structure with good tannins and a spice note. Brisket, Flank Steak, Braised Lamb Shanks, Grilled Marinated Eggplant.
Bogle Essential Red | California
Blend of Old Vine Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. Dark berries and black plums, flavors of juniper and dried herbs. The juicy, jammy fruit is framed with spicy cedar and hints of pipe tobacco and cocoa. BBQ Burger, Blue Cheese Chocolate Macaroons. Website
