Some First Timers enjoy Third Thursday Tasting

I ‘m going to cut to the chase here. I loved the Peirano Estate Viognier tonight at Wine World’s Third Thursday tasting. This is an oaked Viognier. Nice and aromatic. I could sense gardenias (my mother’s favorite flower). This is much darker white than a typical Viognier. The oak mellows it out and gives it a smooth mouthfeel. I can drink this all the time.
Now that I got that out of the way I should say I enjoyed all the wines tonight. My favorite red was the …. well I have to say my two favorite reds were the Ventoux Les Traverses, Paul Jaboulet Aîné 2015 and the Banfi Centine Rosso. The cheeses were great as well. I loved the DaneKo Fontina which has a sour dough bread kind of taste to it.
