Shawn pours at the Red Table Thursday night at Wine World
Shawn pours at the Red Table Thursday night

T his was what I needed. I great little tasting that helped me end the day. I was running a bit behind as usual but after sampling the >Trivento Torrontés and the Tom Gore Cabernet Sauvignon I took a breath and relaxed.
I point out these two wines because I especially like them but I liked all of them tonight. I was taken back a bit by the Mosen Cleto Crianza because of its unusual bottle. “Frosted” is the only way I can describe it. The bottle is speckled with a light brown texture that I guess mimics dust in an old cellar. I really like the taste of this wine.
On the cheese table you couldn’t go wrong with the Cablanca, El Greco Machego and the Orange Windmill Mediterranean Herb.
Next up for Wine World is the Frescobaldi Tasting Seminar next Friday night (July 24). This one will be real good. Michael Simmons is a great wine tasting guide.
