I t was time for Wine World’s Third Thursday tasting, unfortunately I couldn’t make it. They featured six wines, 2 white, 3 red and a rosé. And as usual they had their great cheeses to sample.
Next up for Wine World is a Steele Wine Tasting seminar on Friday, August 25th at 7pm. You can’t miss this one. The last Steele seminar was phenomenal.

Aromatic perfume scents of ripe tropical fruits; wild honey, cooked pears and apricots. Striking asparagus nose mild green pepper, citrus, minerals on the palette. Crisp acidity, green apples, apricot, tangerine skin, slightly grassy. Tart green pepper and baked pear finish. Goat Cheese, Asparagus with Parmesan, Spicy BBQ Shrimp. Website

Guigal Cotes du Rhone Rosé 2016 | Rhone, France
70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, and 10% Syrah fresh nose of red fruits, Ripe red berry and tangerine flavors and subtle herbs. Raspberry, redcurrant and cherry flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity red-fruit-dominated finish, which is given a zesty edge by a jolt of white pepper.
