W ine World featured a “Special Wines of Portugal” tasting Seminar on Friday, August 24th. They tasted ten wines with a break for heavy hors d’oeuvres. Dorit Handrus Co-Owner of Tambu Wines will be presenting the wines.
Tambu is a small importer of a handful of specially selected wineries focused on small-production, terroir-driven, minimal-intervention wines. With Dorit as our guide we’ll taste several wines from Vinho Verde, exploring different types of wine produced in the region. We’ll also visit Alentejo, Beiras, Dão, Minho, and Douro, learning about how these wines are made, the people that make them, and the lands from which they are grown. We’ll taste ten wines with a midway break for tasty tidbits. Each attendee received a Reidel Glass to take home. Attendees were offered special prices when ordering these wines.
