A few of the 54 different brews I have
A few of the 54 er… 55 different brews I have

I ‘m sitting here in a state of shock. I feel as if someone should have had an intervention to prevent this from happening. I saw the warning signs and ignored them for too long. Everywhere I turned in the laundry room I saw a bottle or a can. I really needed to do something about this problem. But until I decided to take control I didn’t realize how bad it was.

I have 55* different kinds of beer. It’s Summertime and I think some of them are from last Summer. I know a bunch are from last Fall. A few might be from Winter of 2011. How could I let these sit for so long without drinking them.

I think I know why. Most are leftovers from sixes I bought and kept one back to eventually review. Some are leftovers from Mark’s big 50th Birthday.

This became a “can’t see the forest for the trees” problem. I just couldn’t see what was in the back of the fridge. I knew I had a few and even wrote about cleaning out the fridge starting with the Chocolate Banana Stout from Thomas Creek last week.

Utilizing my Filemaker skills I have inventoried my beers.

There’s no review tonight. I just wanted to list what I found in my little fridge and hidden in the cabinets and beside the dryer and under the laundry detergent. As I actually review them I will create a link to each brew. So when I feel like a doing a review I’ll just open the database and choose.

I will try my best to not buy any beer until they are all gone. That’s gonna be kinda hard with a couple of tastings at Wine World coming up. Mark the Beer Pro will try his Jedi like beer tricks to entice me to buy something new.

I must be strong.

*I originally counted 54 but found a can that I thought was a Coke but was a Bohemian Viennese Lager

As I review them I’ll add a link on this page to the review.
