Roger wants to pay tribute to the hard working folks in the Napa wine industry who are cleaning up from their recent earthquake. He said “As you might have heard, Napa was rocked by a 6.1 Earthquake early Sunday morning. The earthquake that jarred California’s wine capital caused over $1 billion in damage. Business owners mopped up high-end vintages that spilled from barrels and bottles and swept away broken glass in the rush to get the tourist hotspot back in shape for the summer’s final holiday weekend. It would have been a good time to carry a straw while visiting on Monday.
If you have ever visited Napa you know it’s populated with a bunch of good hard-working people. The miracle was no one was killed, but if this quake had occurred during the afternoon, many would have died. In our way of support, The Vineyard will be hosting a Napa Wine Tasting this weekend. All the wines tasted this weekend will be produced, bottled & grapes grown in Napa.”
Tasting times are Friday, August 29, 2014, 4:30-6:30. and Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, 3-6PM.
Oh but there’s more. On Friday & Saturday The Vineyard will invite Emma Anderson, a licensed massage therapist, to provide a massage to those who donate to the Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk. Her goal is to raise $1000 by giving massages at her place of business and the mini massages provide both Friday & Saturday at The Vineyard. It really is a good deal! 10 minutes for $10! Or you can make an appointment to go Ms. Anderson’s office and get a 60 minute massage for $45; twenty of which will be donated to the Lymphoma Society.
The line-up may change, but here is what we are looking forward to:
Groth Sauvignon Blanc
J. Lohr Chardonnay
Truth White Blend
Truth Red Blend
Textbook Cabernet Sauvignon
Worthy Cabernet Sauvignon
Waterstone Cabernet Sauvignon
Come by and bring a friend!
