T he Tasters Guild, Savannah River Chapter,  held “An Evening of Italian Food & Wine” at Casa Bella Italian Restaurant, 120 Chesterfield St SW, Aiken, SS, on Tuesday, February 19th, 2013, 7:30 pm.

Casa Bella has become a favorite restaurant in Aiken for its delicious traditional Italian cuisine, its lovely setting in a Victorian home in downtown Aiken, its charming ambiance and its excellent friendly service.  Joe, Casa Bella chef, wants you to feel that you are dining in a relative’s home in Italy. Owners Joe and his wife Arlene have delighted us with previous dinners and many of you have asked that we have another special Tasters Guild February dinner at Casa Bella.  Venetia & Arthur Northrop and Dale & Sue Siliko have selected this delectable menu and matching wines for your enjoyment.

Caprese Salad
Fresh tomato and mozzarella salad with basil
Pfefferer Moscato Giallo 2011 (dry), Schneckbiehl. Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT, Italy
Stuffed White Mushroom
White mushrooms stuffed with bread crumbs, Italian sweet sausage and a medley of seasongs topped with mozzarella
Rosato 2010 (Dry Rosé) Masciarelli,  Colline Teatine IGT

Shrimp Scampi with creamy Risotto
Frascati DOG 2010,  Superiore Secco, Fontana Candida, Terre Dei Grifi 

Lamb Chop served on a bed of fresh Spinach
Aglianico, Poderi Foglia, Roccamon Fina IGT
Kajanero, Vestini Campagne. Terre del Volturo IGT
Two red wines from the region of Campagnia using only native, indigenous grapes.
Crème Brulee

Fresh Italian bread, water, coffee & 20% gratuity included.
