The last of the tasters at the red table

I was late. I was bound and determined to make this tasting because I wanted to try the Three Zinfandel. I got there about 7:50 and they were ready winding down. But as usual the smiling faces at Wine World made sure I got to try them… although one of the cheeses tonight, one I’ve never had, had already been put up.
You snooze you lose as they say. Nice tasting. I really liked the Encostas Do Lima Vinho Verde Rosé 2016 and the Conundrum White Blend 2015. Both will make nice summertime sippers. And besides, I doubt the people who brought you Caymus will mislead you with Conundrum. It’s got real nice body. I could enjoy this one too much.
I wasn’t disappointed with the Three Zinfandel 2013. Nice round flavors that brightened my day.
At the cheese table they had Orange Windmill Calblanca (always a nice mild Dutch Goat cheese), Karst Cave-Aged Cheese (my first time with this one, nice earthy flavors) and Mimolette Vieille (this one I didn’t get to try).
