Zestos Blanc Malvar | Vinos de Madrid, DO Spain
100% organically grown Malvar grapes. Full-bodied, fresh, crisp white. Assertive stone fruit, white peach & fresh apricot aromas & flavors. Has the citrus & crispness of Sauvignon Blanc and the body of unoaked Chardonnay. Excellent with sushi, chicken kabobs or burritos. Pork loin Tangy cheeses. Fresh seafood.
Val de Salis Grenache Gris Rosé 2012 | Languedoc, France
A beautiful, vibrant dry rosé made from the Grenache grape. Aromas & flavors of strawberry, raspberry, citrus & spice. Concentrated, bright flavors, crisp finish. Goes very well with almost everything. Great pairing for salmon, Herbed Chicken. Tangy cheeses. One of our favorites from one of our favorite producers. (The Val de Salis vineyards lie in a dry ancient lake bed. Today this natural bowl is flooded at the end of winter annually and the vines are cut down almost to the ground so the entire vineyard is under water. Since Phylloxera aphids cannot survive in the water, these vines are grown on their own roots. It is one of the few European vineyards still using native rootstocks.)
Sun Garden Riesling 2012 | Nahe, Germany
Straw color. Medium sweet. Crisp, fresh & elegant with citrus aromas. Tangy & fruity with flavors of grapefruit, peach, & watermelon. Delicate minerality. Fish, chicken or pork. Spicy Asian dishes. Braised Chicken Thighs with Fruit Salsa. Aperitif.
