It was a joyous and sad night as friends gathered at Wine World for a last send off. Saturday night was a potluck dinner with lots of wine with friends sharing food and wine. It was a great evening. One of the first tastings I covered was at Wine World back in 2009. Several friends I’ve gotten to know over the years were there for my first tasting and tonight for the last. I think back at all of the seminars, tastings, and visits to the best wine shop in the area. I think back fondly of Dick and Sally Benjamin. Dick taught me how to properly pronounce Gewurztraminer and Sally always made sure I was properly introduced at their seminars as “Dan of THE Bottle Report.” I was glad to get to know Andrew when he took over after Dick’s passing.
