T asters at the monthly educational wine tasting at Bee’s Knees Restaurant had a great time tasting summer treats Wednesday night. They sipped on five beautiful wines and nibbled on appetizers prepared in the Bee’s Knees kitchen. There were smiles all around. Here are the wines tasted, with the prices at Ninth Street Wine Market: Castano Monastrell Rose, Yecla, Spain, $9.99 Tasting notes: Shiny and clean raspberry pink color. It shows strawberry syrup and sweet liquorice aromas. Smooth, candied and ripe in the mouth. Bisci Verdicchio di Matelica, Italy, $14.99 Tasting notes: This beauty from the Marche region is a pale straw yellow color with green reflections. It’s aromatic, with a nice, floral nose. The flavor was warm and intense and balanced. This was one of the favorite wines of the night. Guntrum Riesling, Rheinhessen, Germany, $11.99 Tasting notes: Elegant and classical Riesling scent, paired with aromas of tropic fruit.…
